MARION, MA – We are proud to receive the Best in Show trophy at this year’s Marion Independence Day Parade. This annual event, a beloved tradition in the Marion community, brings together families, businesses, and organizations to celebrate the holiday. This is the fourth time in the last six years that we have earned the parade’s top honor.
Our float was the result of dedication and community collaboration. Designed to embody the Candy Land board game, the float - pulled again by a Yard Boss Landscape Design truck - featured life-sized lollipops and other treats, music from FUN107 Morning Show host Gazelle, and entertaining performances by the dancers accompanying the float.
Along the route, our volunteers gave out 76 pounds of candy, 600 streamers, 250 bags of cotton candy and 359 boxes of animal crackers.
“Our goal each year is to create an entertaining and interactive experience that delights the community,” said Jill Fearons, President/Founder of the Friends of Jack Foundation. “Winning Best in Show again is an incredible honor and a testament to the passion and creativity of our amazing volunteers and supporters.”
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, support of the Marion community, and generous donation by Erin and Keith Hovan of the Compass Hovan Property Group.
