Mary Van Pelt spent several decades as an event marketing specialist in New York, conceiving and executing fundraising and corporate events for museums, financial institutions and auction houses. Throughout the years, she has also been fortunate to be involved with various non-profit organizations with missions ranging from land and architectural conservation to therapy and vocational services for at-risk youth and ex-offenders. Her commitment to community and child welfare is a top priority for Mary, and she attempts to live by the philosophy that every one, every day, can help another. Mary resides in Newport, RI with her husband, twin daughters, and fluffy canine child.
